Coach Vance has been coaching basketball for over 4 years. He has always had the desire to coach but never pursued that interest until his youngest daughter needed a team to play on. 

It was at that time he realized that the girls in his community were missing out. Growing up in West Oakland, Coach Vance went on to play basketball through his senior year at McClymond's High School.

After high school, Coach Vance then played 2 years of baseball at Grambling State University. “Developing skills and teaching kids to play the game the right way is what I focus on”. Says Coach Vance.”

My goal is for the kids to become not just athletes, but student athletes”. Coach Vance is also currently coaching basketball at McClymond’s High School.
